Festivities in the Kitchen

I am getting the kitchen ready for Christmas.  Next week I will be baking and cooking in preparation for our holiday.  In the meantime I am gloriously happy organizing and decorating my Christmas kitchen.  More to come next week.  Lots of visions of sugarplums dancing in my head...

Have a great weekend!

  2. Your kitchen is beautiful. I can't wait to see how you decorate. Enjoy your week. I will be fluffing up the house and getting ready to start in the kitchen.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  3. I'm terrible about decorating for Christmas. As I type this, there is a tree in my living room that has lights on it and nothing else and it's been like that for two weeks!

However, I'm going to be spending a lot of time next week baking and making candy for presents. AND I'm totally jealous of your amazing kitchen. I definitely don't have enough burners or ovens! :-)

  4. I never think about being Jewish, until this time of year. Not religious at all, but don't really celebrate Christmas. We have a big family Hanukkah party, which, let's face it, is not as visually stunning. There isn't even an official Hanukkah animal (like the reindeer for Christmas.) And blue and silver, not so great to give one a warm and cozy feeling. However the meal is delicious!

  5. Kathy, we also celebrate Hanukkah, and I usually make the meal which I love! I have gotten pretty good at potato latkes and I have all my mother-in-laws recipes for the most delicious foods for the holiday. Hope you and David have a wonderful holiday season!

  6. Thanks Sunday, you too. I make regular potato latkes and also sweet potato latkes, which are delicious. OK, your post has inspired me, I'm going to think outside of the box, and get going on some cheerful and seasonal decorations!
